What data Bikepick collects, how it is used, and your rights.

What we collect

We collect only what the platform needs to work:

  • Account details: name, email, phone (optional), city (optional)
  • Listings: bike details, photos, asking price (posted by you)
  • Leads: when a buyer contacts a dealer, the dealer receives the contact details the buyer chose to share
  • Payment data: processed by Razorpay; we store the payment reference and amount, never card numbers
  • Technical: server logs and, where you use the site, anonymous usage events (page views, searches) stored server-side to keep the service reliable

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
  • We do not use third-party advertising trackers or cross-site tracking pixels.
  • We do not send marketing emails. Communications are transactional (account, listings, payments, leads).
  • We do not share your data with law enforcement unless legally required.

How we use data

  • To operate accounts, listings, dealer profiles and the lead system
  • To process payments and subscriptions
  • To run security, abuse and fraud checks
  • To measure site performance and fix errors

Your rights

  • Access: email us and we will tell you what we hold about you
  • Correction: you can edit your own account and listing details
  • Deletion: email us to delete your account and personal data. Data needed for legal or payment records (invoices, transaction logs) may be retained as required by law
  • Complaints: you may also complain to the Data Protection Authority of India

Data location and security

Data is stored in a cloud database (Supabase) in an AWS region. Access is restricted to authorised staff; proof documents uploaded to listings are stored in a private bucket and are only visible to you and to authorised staff. In the event of a data breach affecting you, we will notify you as required by law.
